Legal, regulatory & accessibility
Company identification, product compliance statements for the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and how this site addresses accessibility.

On this page
1. Company identification
The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 require an online trader to publish its identity and a geographic address. The United States and Canada expect the same.
- Trading name: dynattenik
- Legal name: REPLACE_LEGAL_NAME
- Registered address: REPLACE_ADDRESS
- Company registration number: REPLACE_REG_NO REPLACE_JURISDICTION
- VAT / GST number: REPLACE_VAT_NO
- General contact: support@dynattenik.com
REPLACE_LEGAL_NAME, REPLACE_ADDRESS, REPLACE_REG_NO and REPLACE_VAT_NO must each be replaced before this page goes live. They are shown in this style so they cannot be missed.
2. Product regulatory compliance
The DeStatiX-A9 is a USB peripheral and therefore a digital apparatus. Its EMC treatment differs by market, and each market asks for a specific statement and marking.
The product holds the following authorisations:
- FCC — United States, Part 15 Class B, Supplier's Declaration of Conformity
- CE — European Union, Directive 2014/30/EU on electromagnetic compatibility
- UKCA — Great Britain, Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations 2016
- RoHS — EU Directive 2011/65/EU and the UK RoHS Regulations 2012
- REACH — EU Regulation 1907/2006, with UK REACH for Great Britain
Test reports, the Declarations of Conformity and the technical file are held for each of them and are available to a market surveillance authority on request.
3. United States — FCC
In the United States the product falls under FCC Part 15 Subpart B as a digital device, and is authorised under the Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) procedure. The responsible party — normally the US manufacturer, importer or the entity named on the label — must keep the test record on file.
Responsible party in the United States:
- Name: REPLACE_US_RESPONSIBLE_PARTY
- Address: REPLACE_US_ADDRESS
The required statement:
“This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.”
Class B: this equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, which are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
4. Canada — ISED
In Canada the product is an interference-causing equipment item governed by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), and must meet ICES-003. The Canadian statement, and the CAN ICES-3(B) / NMB-3(B) marking, appear on the product label and in its documentation.
“This Class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003.”
French, for the Québec market, per the Charter of the French language and ISED's bilingual labelling practice:
« Cet appareil numérique de la classe B est conforme à la norme NMB-003 du Canada. »
5. United Kingdom — UKCA
Great Britain requires the UKCA marking for products within its scope, under the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations 2016 as amended. The UKCA mark must be at least 5 mm and appears on the product, its packaging and its documentation.
Northern Ireland follows EU rules and requires CE marking; it does not use UKCA alone. If you also sell into the EU, CE marking under Directive 2014/30/EU applies there.
Both marks are held, so nothing here rests on the UK's acceptance of CE marking in Great Britain — a position that has been extended more than once and may change again. Holding UKCA in its own right removes any dependence on it.
Authorised representative or UK responsible person:
- Name: REPLACE_UK_RESPONSIBLE_PERSON
- Address: REPLACE_UK_ADDRESS
Technical documentation, the UK Declaration of Conformity and the conformity assessment must be held before the product is placed on the market. Importers and distributors must be able to produce them.
6. RoHS, REACH, WEEE & packaging
- RoHS — the product meets the UK Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012 and EU Directive 2011/65/EU. The United States has no equivalent federal rule, but California applies its own RoHS.
- REACH — under EU Regulation 1907/2006 the product contains no substance of very high concern from the ECHA candidate list above 0.1% weight by weight. Below that threshold the Article 33 communication duty is not triggered. Because it is also below the threshold, no SCIP notification to the European Chemicals Agency is required. Great Britain is covered separately by UK REACH, which maintains its own list.
- WEEE — electrical and electronic equipment placed on the UK market is covered by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013. Producers must register with a compliance scheme and finance the treatment of waste from that equipment. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol must appear on the product. Equivalent obligations apply in the EU under Directive 2012/19/EU.
- Packaging — the UK Packaging Waste Regulations and their equivalents in Canada and the US states apply to the retail box.
The DeStatiX-A9 contains no battery, so battery regulations do not apply to it.
7. Affiliate disclosure
In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255) require a material connection between a seller and an endorser to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, and close to the recommendation it relates to. The UK Committee of Advertising Practice requires the same through the CAP Code, enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority, and the Competition Bureau applies the same standard in Canada.
Some links from this site to Amazon are, or may become, affiliate links. If you buy through one, dynattenik may receive a commission. This does not change the price you pay.
“As an Amazon Associate we may earn from qualifying purchases.”
The same notice appears beside the buy buttons on the product page and in the footer of every page, so it is seen before the link is clicked rather than afterwards.
8. Terms of sale, warranty & consumer rights
Orders are placed with and fulfilled by Amazon, so Amazon's own terms and returns process apply to the transaction. Statutory rights are not affected by them.
United Kingdom
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose made known to the seller, and match their description. The short-term right to reject runs for 30 days. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, a consumer buying at a distance normally has 14 days to cancel and a further 14 days to send the goods back.
United States
Implied warranties arise under the Uniform Commercial Code in most states, and many states add their own implied warranty of merchantability. Any express warranty must be stated in writing; the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act governs how it is written and labelled.
Canada
Sale of goods legislation in each province supplies conditions as to quality and fitness, and the Competition Act prohibits materially false or misleading representations about a product.

9. Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard referenced by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and the one courts and regulators in all three markets treat as the benchmark:
- United States — the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 508 where public bodies are involved.
- United Kingdom — the Equality Act 2010 duty to make reasonable adjustments, and the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 for public bodies.
- Canada — the Accessible Canada Act for federally regulated organisations, the Ontario Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and the equivalent acts in Manitoba, Nova Scotia and British Columbia.
What this site does
- A "Skip to content" link is the first item in the tab order on every page.
- Every page has one
<h1>and a heading order that does not skip levels. - Body, heading and link text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast threshold; large text meets 3:1.
- Every image carries alternative text; decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, and the focus indicator is visible.
- Animation and scrolling effects are disabled when the visitor's system requests reduced motion.
- Colour is never the only means of conveying information.
- Text scales with the browser without loss of content.
Known limitations
Product photographs are not individually described in text beyond their alternative text, and the downloadable PDF documents have not been assessed against PDF/UA. If either blocks you, tell us and we will provide the content another way.
If you hit an accessibility barrier on this site, email support@dynattenik.com with the page address and what you were trying to do. We aim to respond within five working days and to fix what we can.
In the United Kingdom you may also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, or the Equality and Human Rights Commission. In the United States, the Department of Justice accepts complaints under the ADA. In Canada, the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the Ontario Human Rights Commission receive them.
10. Limitation of liability
This site and its documents are provided for information. We take care over their accuracy but do not promise they are complete, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on them, except for liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and, in the United Kingdom, the statutory rights in section 2 of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Product documentation prevails over anything on this website in the event of a conflict.
